Banding demonstrations

We welcome visitors to our banding station and are happy to lead banding demonstrations for school groups, bird clubs, local organizations and community members upon request.

Once a year we lead a banding demonstration for Berkshire Biodiversity Day (BioBlitz).  Locations change across the county from year-to-year.

In the summer, once Kestrel chicks are near fledging, we bring people out to our various boxes to see the little falcons get banded.

Perhaps our most popular public banding sessions are certain evenings during the fall, when we go for Saw-whet Owls.  These little owls have an unrivaled ability to captivate people and inspire a care for birds and their habitats.

If you are interested in visiting us or partaking in a banding demonstration, please reach out.
